Beneficiary lost his father at a young age. His mother works as a tailor from home and is the sole earning member of the family, struggling to meet their daily needs through stitching work.

Despite the family’s financial hardships, he has shown exceptional dedication towards academics. He scored an impressive 96% in his 12th standard examinations and secured admission on merit in a reputed Tier-1 engineering college. He is known to be sincere, hardworking, and good in studies.

To support his education, the family managed to pay the complete first-year college fees by exhausting their savings and taking loans. However, the recurring yearly expenses remain a major burden. Since he is required to stay in the hostel, the annual hostel and mess expenses alone come to nearly ₹1,00,000, which is beyond the family’s capacity to afford.

He has also applied for a scholarship through the college, but it has not been sanctioned yet. The student was referred to Aalayam through a friend for financial assistance.

After all our reviews, we have decided to approve Rs40,000.00 for this year hostel fees.

The family appears to be economically weak and underprivileged, and supporting this student would greatly help him continue his higher education without interruption.
